I'm Salah Fekkak

Graphic & Web Designer.

Originally from Morocco, I’ve worked most of my professional career as a graphic designer, specializing in print and multimedia design. I’m currently completing my second Associate’s Degree from Minneapolis Community and Technical College in Web Design and Front-End Development. I also have a certificate from the University of Minnesota in UX/UI Research and Design. I spend my free time taking landscape photography, hiking with my dog, and watching documentaries. My goal is to become a Senior UX/UI designer for a global enterprise.

Graphic Design

I’ve spent eight years in the field of graphic design (print and digital), working in a print shop, communication agency, and language school.
I feel comfortable with most Adobe Creative Suite tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and even video editing through Premiere Pro and After Effects.

UX/UI

I begin by conducting interviews to collect quantitative and qualitative data. At that point, I focus on identifying potential users, creating proto-personas, Empathy Maps, and Storyboards, and coming up with different user scenarios. After this research stage, I start sketching the wireframes and designing the final product with tools such as Figma, XD, and Invision.

Web Design

Thanks to various online courses and the University of Minnesota’s Certificate, I feel confident with my HTML and CSS skills for web design. I am always striving to learn more in this space and add JavaScript to my skillset.
